Fees and insurance
The standard private-pay fee is $160 for a 50-minute session.
I keep a limited number of reduced-fee openings. Availability changes, so if cost is the main barrier to beginning therapy, you are welcome to send me a brief message and ask whether one is currently open.
I accept selected plans from several insurers, including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum. Participation can differ by state and by the exact plan; an insurer’s name alone does not confirm coverage.
If your plan is not shown, send me a brief message before scheduling. It may be handled through a separate insurance arrangement.
How often we may meet
Therapy commonly begins once or twice weekly, depending on your needs and goals. We review whether that frequency is helping and can adjust it over time.
There is no predetermined number of sessions. We look at the goals that brought you to therapy, changes in symptoms and daily life, and whether the work continues to be useful. Regular therapy can end when your goals have been sufficiently met. Some clients choose occasional check-ins afterward.
What happens in a consultation
The consultation is a free 15-minute phone conversation. After you schedule, I will call the phone number you provided at the selected time.
We can briefly discuss what is bringing you to therapy, what you hope will be different, and any practical or clinical questions relevant to deciding whether to work together. You will also have time to ask about my approach.
This is a preliminary conversation rather than a therapy session. Scheduling or attending does not obligate you to begin treatment.
If we both decide to proceed, I will send you the paperwork to complete before your first appointment. If I do not think I am the appropriate clinician for what you need, I will provide referral options.
Scheduling through Cal.Com
The button below takes you to Cal.com, the external platform I use to schedule consultations. There, you can:
- Choose an available consultation time.
- Provide the contact information I need to call you, along with a brief description of what you are seeking.
- Mention your insurance or indicate that you plan to pay privately.
Submitting the form or attending the consultation does not commit you to becoming a therapy client.
